Awards Criteria

 

Cesar Batalla Community Service Award

 

§            Someone who has a long-term concern for and involvement in enhancing the quality of life for children and their families in Bridgeport

 

§            Someone who has achieved significant results at the neighborhood, city, regional or state level

 

§            Someone who is not paid to do this work or goes above and beyond their job description

 

§            Someone who does not normally get recognized/someone involved at the grassroots level

 

 

Jan Park Child Advocacy Award

 

§               Someone who understands the important role of advocacy and community mobilization for advocacy

 

§               Someone who is a passionate advocate for policy and systems changes that will improve the lives of children and their families

 

§               Someone who has a broad perspective and vision for change

 

§               Someone who volunteers or goes above and beyond their normal job in their advocacy
